Due to a reporting error, the April 30 article “Broken windows, appliances lead to ‘worst’ honors” erroneously said landlord Patrick Corcoran did not return several phone calls seeking comment. The Herald did not make a sufficient attempt to interview the landlord and verify some of the complaints made by the tenant. We regret the error.

Due to a reporting error, the article Dec. 4 article “Finance committee votes to give themselves raises” should have said the vote to eliminate the original stipend was 4 to 3, with 2 abstaining, with Alex Gallagher voting in affirmative. The proposed $18,300 was cut and later replaced with a $13,725 member stipend, which was reintroduced by Jordan Lippert, not Brittany Weigand, and passed by a vote of 5 to 3. We regret these errors.

The article also should have said contract status would have allowed groups to manage their finances apart from SSFC. Shaun Hernandez should also have been cited as Vice Chief Justice of SJ, not SSFC. We regret these errors.

The article also should not have said Dick Cheney still receives deferred payments from Haliburton.

Due to a reporting error, the March 12 article "Candidates raising cash" should not have said Mayor Dave Cieslewicz will have a March 16 campaign event at Genna's Lounge, nor should it have cited any connection to the Madison Film Festival. In addition, the article should have said both Cieslewicz and opponent Ray Allen have been invited to two events on Wednesday — a candidate lunch debate hosted by the Madison Rotary Club at the Monona Terrace and a Madison Chamber of Commerce debate at Madison Area Technical College. Finally, the article should have said both mayoral candidates released updated campaign funding statistics before the February primary.
